Share, Reuse, Remix – Legally

Creative Commons is a non-profit organization that increases sharing and collaboration on creative works. The organization has released several copyrightlicenses known as Creative Commons licenses. These licenses allow creators to communicate which rights they reserve, and which rights they waive for the benefit of recipients or other creators. In simple words, it means the owner can decide the rights which he can give and the rights he can keep for himself. Of course, every individual can do this, however Creative Commons provide a standardized way for these permissions without undergoing the legal complexities of forming  a new license. Creative Common licenses range from some rights reserved to all rights reserved and so they can fill in everybody’s need and requirements. However, they are not a replacement to copyrights.

I got a creative common license for my blog a few days back check that out and people can get their own licenses even as they are totally free plus you do not even need to register for them 🙂
